Altos de Inurrieta Reserva 03: WINNER OF GRAN BACCHUS OF GOLD AWARD 2006 |
 |

 |

Altos de Inurrieta Reserva 2002 won the highest possible award for wine in Spain: the Gran Bacchus of Gold Award. This competition, which considered 1433 wines from 16 countries, only selected one red wine for its top prize: Altos de Inurrieta. In Peñín Guide Magazine, February 05, it is described: ´A Reserva that reminds us of the serious Bordeaux, both in terms of its composition of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and its style, with a concentrated and very elegant structure. And yet very far removed from the prices of the great Bordeaux. Deep cherry-red. Strong, very varietal aromas, recalling ripe Bordaux grapes, fine toasty notes, warm and liguerurish. Warm and meaty in the mouth. Fine toasty oak and notable, yet ripe, fruit tannins on the finish; tasty.´
